Omnia-book

Ultra slim workstation goes BIG!

Elegant business laptop meets thin & light workstation.

Omnia-book with high performance and 16:10 premium display!

The new Omnia-Book, with its 17 mm thin and 1.7 kg light magnesium chassis in either Ice Grey or Deep Grey, is targeted at content creators, software developers or business users who value an extremely slim design, a high portability factor despite a large, high-quality 16-inch screen in highly requested 16:10 aspect ratio and high processing (and optional graphics) performance.

While the large 80 Wh battery provides runtimes of up to 10 hours, the high-end Intel Core i7-13700H processor offers a full 14 cores for great performance for heavy workloads. For graphics-intensive applications, the Omnia-Book can optionally be equipped with RTX graphics cards up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070.

Thus, the 17 mm thin and 1.6 kg light Omnia-Book is targeted at style-conscious content creators, software developers or business users who value an uncompromising slim design combined with high performance thanks to the Intel Core i7-13700H and optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 graphics.

The white backlit low-profile keyboard allows working in dim environments and features a number pad for quick numeric entry. Impossible to miss is the huge 15.5 x 10.0 cm clickpad, which can optionally be deactivated via a double finger tap in the upper left corner to prevent errors while typing. If preferred, also only the right half can be disabled via double tap in the upper right corner.

Inside the case, in addition to the 80 Wh lithium polymer battery, there are two upgradeable slots for up to 64 GB DDR4-3200 MHz RAM and two M.2 SSD slots (PCI-Express 4.0 x4) for up to 4 terabytes of storage, as well as two slim low profile fans and copper heat pipes responsible for dissipating heat from the components.

14 CPU cores for groundbreaking performance

14 CPU cores for groundbreaking performance

With its 14 CPU cores (consisting of 6 fast Performance-cores and 8 power-saving Efficient-cores) and a total of up to 20 threads that can be processed simultaneously, the Intel Core i7-13700H offers strong multitasking performance for content creators and software developers alike, who want to use the Omnia Book as a ultra portable CPU workstation.

The Core i7-13700H is specified with a standard TDP of 45 watts, which has to be far exceeded for full performance though – as is the case with all CPUs. Due to the Omnia Book’s dual-fan cooling, the 13700H can draw up to 70 watts sustained to deliver great computing power for such a thin and light notebook and to provide a lot of performance for all everyday work as well as even complex workflows, such as video and image editing or compiling code.

Up to RTX 4070

NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070

In its base configuration, the Omnia Book features the Intel Xe Graphics which is integrated in the CPU and suitable for all everyday graphically less demanding tasks while ensuring pleasantly low fan noise levels and temperature even under high load.

For more graphically demanding workflows, such as video rendering, 3D animation or gaming, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 and the around 15% faster GeForce RTX 4070, each equipped with 8 GB of dedicated GDDR6 graphics memory and a Total Graphics Power (TGP) of 70 watts due to the ultra-thin case design, are optionally available.

Under low, parallel CPU load, both GeForce RTX GPUs can automatically shift up to 25 watts of additional power from the CPU over to the GPU via NVIDIA’s Dynamic Boost – depending on the running program and system load.

Big display, small pixels!

The 34.5 x 21.5 cm 16-inch display offers the ideal compromise between a large screen for working comfortably without the need for an external monitor, and a still compact chassis dimensions at 354 x 245 x 17 mm, which correspond to the size of typical, former 15.6-inch notebooks. In addition to the larger screen compared to usual 15.6 inch displays, the frequently requested 16:10 aspect ratio offers more vertical screen space. The high display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (16:10) offers a very finely resolved image for pleasantly legible text, while photos, videos or games benefit from the vivid (100 % sRGB) and bright (400 nits) panel which in combination with its matte panel coating ensures good outdoor usability.

Technical Details

  • Display / Monitor

Modern displays with IPS panels have bright areas along the frame as a normal characteristic. This has hardly any influence on everyday operation, not least because the displays are optimized for daylight operation. It can only be minimized, but not completely avoided, regardless of the manufacturer and for manufacturing reasons.

We always test with integrated graphics when a dedicated and integrated graphics chip is installed. This way you get an information of maximal possible battery life. Starting from this, you can manage your individual battery life depending on your demands and to influence it, e.g. is keyboard backlight unnecessary during daylight. Bluetooth is also only needed to be turned on, if there's a Bluetooth device connected. Full display brightness as well is hardly always necessary.

  • Cooling System & Fan

    Temperature controlled fan
At low system workload, there is less heat emerging. The cooling system fans can spin accordingly slow or even turn themselves off completely. Depending on the chassis, cooling system and CPU and GPU, high to very high fan noise (air swooshing) is produced under full load. Thinner notebooks normally tend to get louder due to less cooling capacity.
